Orange County might become the center of a new kind of training for health care professionals and could mean hundreds of new jobs. The facility will train doctors, nurses and other professionals. Joing us now, retired attorney general, he's the president and executive director of the national center for stimulation here iOrlando. Any time we talk about any jobs here, especially high-paying jobs, people's ears perk up. For the last 45 years, Orlando and central Florida have evolved into the epicenter for the department of defense. Now the medical school and the children's hospital, university of Florida will put a research facility there as well, but that's a w of opportunity to take the technology and to spin it off into a way to better train the future health care professionals. Why Orlando and do we have any competition around the nation? there's competion around the nation for sure I think we have a lake up because of the fact that we own the epicenter of a power if you pow powerful industry. When you think of the technology applied to training health care, it makes a lot of sense to leverage the power to make Orlando the destination for training, education and for the future of modeling and simulation as it applies to medical and health care. Give us an example. How would you make the leap from military traing to medicine? in the gaming industry and virtual worlds, you have seen a leap in computer. i think we can apply those games into placing health care workers in for the specialties they follow. The simulators. I was trained for years using stimulaters before going to the airplane. It can be use ed to train surgeons.
